Baby Be Blesssed is having a give away for a cute pink lamb! If you don't know about them here is a little background.

Baby be Blessed is a doll ministry. We are a family of stay-at-home Christian Mommies who love the Lord and desire to share His hope and truth! Each handmade doll has the Word of God printed on a patch sewn to their belly. Our mission and deepest desire is for each child to come to know, understand and live for Jesus Christ.
We pray that each child who receives a Baby be Blessed Doll would be ready to hear, accept and embrace that truth! We encourage each parent to stand on the strong foundation of God's Word and to teach it. We pray that these dolls would be a part of the tools you would use to do that.

Angry Birds

Since Ricky got his iphone he had gotten all these different applications and games for it. One of the games he got is called Angry Birds. I am waaaaaay to addicted to that game! At first when I saw him playing it I thought it was stupid until I tired it and now I can't stop! If you don't have it, check it out. It costs 99 cents but we have gotten our moneys worth! The gest is to try and kill these pigs by using the birds but the birds are slung out of a sling shot and they try to hit the pigs. What are some of your favorite games/applications on the iphone??

Fun times!

Amber was invited to her first birthday party recently and it was a tea party on top of that :) I was so excited about dressing her up! For her birthday one of her great grandmothers got a pretty dress and I immediately thought this is what she is gonna wear! The party was wonderful and Amber enjoyed herself. I know this is just the beginning of birthdays that she will attend.

It amazes me how much can change in just a few months with babies. Amber likes the sippy cup now, has for awhile but at first she didn't want it. I waited a couple of weeks and tried it again and she loves them. Her sunglasses, didn't stay on for 2 secs. Now she wears them even inside buildings, loves them! When she figured out how to crawl all over the places her toys didn't exist anymore but now that she is over the newness of crawling she will sit for some time now and play with her toys again. Things change soooo fast and you truly do not realize it until it happens. Slow down Amber!! If we blink to long we just might miss something!!

Soooo needed that....

Ricky and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this past Friday. We decided to celebrate by having a weekend getaway with just the two of us. We took Amber to Ricky's parents house for the weekend and away we went to Hot Springs. It was a lot of fun and even though I did think about Amber and talk about her while we were there, I was surprised at how much I didn't miss her! Not saying that I don't want to be around her but I am saying that Ricky and I needed that time away for just the two of us. It had been forever since we had even gone on a date. Yes we have been alone since moving back to Memphis and our parents have watched Amber for us, but I wouldn't consider going to the grocery store or running errands together a date. Soooo we needed that little vaca. It was fun and relaxing. I wanted to get a massage while we were there but I didn't get around to it. We would have loved to stay longer and do more stuff so we will just have to go back.

Right when we got back we made a deal on a house that we wanted to buy. We signed the paperwork tonight so if everything goes as planned we will be in our house the end of this month! Yay!

First Birthday!

Tomorrow is Amber's first birthday! Can you believe she is one???? I can't! We celebrated her birthday this past weekend. It was a pool party. At first we thought we would have the whole thing outside, presents, cake, etc. On second thought we just did it all inside and then went swimming at the end. It's just been really really hot! (Still not complaining though, would take it over the snow!) Everything went great. We are so blessed. A lot of people showed up. You know normally you count half of how many people you invited. Well way over half came! Amber got lots of toys! I even have put some away to bring out later on. This way she is overwhelmed with the toys and I can bring something new out for her to play on a rainy day or for something special. It took her awhile to dig into her cake but she finally got the hang of it. Then we got busy cutting the big cake forever one to eat and looked down and realized half of her little cake was gone. We thought, oh half of that is in her lap, nope not many crumbs, so she had a lot of cake!! Then we went swimming and it was fun. We have a little swimmer on our hands, she loves the pool! All in all it was a great first birthday!
